David Sigmon currently serves as Group General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary of Greenlight Capital Re, Ltd. (NASDAQ: GLRE), a global specialty (re)insurance organization based in Grand Cayman. Prior to joining Greenlight, David was Vice President, Associate General Counsel within Everest Re Group, Ltd., where he served as the organization’s senior corporate law, capital markets and complex transaction counsel from August 2017 until April 2023.  Before that, David served as General Counsel, Unique Risk Underwriting at another multi-national insurance organization. David also previously served as an associate attorney within the insurance and reinsurance department of a global law firm, now known as Locke Lord LLP, in New York City.

David holds a J.D., with cum laude designation, from Brooklyn Law School, and is currently in the process of completing his LL.M. degree at Georgetown University Law Center.  He obtained his B.A. from George Washington University.
