Ileana has over 30 years of professional experience in global financial markets and asset management, serving as director, risk and investment committee member and earlier in her career as a global head of business development director and investor for blue chip, PRI signatory firms, listed in the FTSE and international bourses, including Schroders, ABN Amro, *Janus, Bradesco and Santander based in London.

Since 2017, Ileana acts as an independent board advisor and non-executive director with private and publicly listed companies and social and environmental impact organizations in the UK, Europe and Latin America.

Ileana is the founder and chair of Climate Governance Initiative Central America & Caribbean Chapter and a member of CGI’s UK chapter, Chapter Zero. CGI is a project in collaboration with the World Economic Forum which promotes climate action at the board level. Ileana is, an angel, senior practitioner and former UK membership chapter chair for 100 Women in Finance, a global gender equity impact organization.

Ileana is a certified investor by the FCA, Financial Services Authority in the UK, by the London School of Economics’ Global Pensions Programme. Ileana holds an MBA from Babson College, and is a Fulbright Scholar.
