Peter McKelvy is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Northern Re, a New York and Cayman Islands based alternative asset group focused on securitizing risk in the casualty reinsurance space. At Northern Re Peter focuses on operational and technology innovations driving the firm’s growth in collateralized reinsurance. He also serves as the Chairman of Park Agency, the Kennedy family office built on four generations of success across public service, philanthropy and business.

Before his venture into reinsurance, Peter gained extensive experience as a Product Manager leading cross-functional technical teams at multiple startups. He made significant contributions at Uber, where he established and led the Driver Compliance group and was first introduced to insurance and reinsurance. Prior to founding Northern Re he continued to pursue a career in insurance as Head of Product at Boost Insurance, where he drove the company’s tech stack and strategy, playing a pivotal role in building a premier InsurTech platform.

Beyond his professional life, Peter is committed to community engagement volunteering with groups like Best Buddies, Special Olympics and RFK Human Rights. In his free time Peter enjoys reading, running and exploring National Parks.

Peter holds a BA with honors from Bucknell University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a licensed director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.
