David is the Head of Tax for KPMG in the Cayman Islands and has over twenty-five years of experience. 

David’s current responsibilities include the provision of U.S. tax compliance and advisory services for alternative investment fund clients. David advises on a wide range of partnership and corporate international tax issues including private equity fund reporting, check the box elections and other tax structuring considerations, as well as PFIC analysis and reporting. David also provides tax advisory services involving U.S. activities such as review of permanent establishment and U.S. trade or business rules for foreign entities with U.S. activities. 

Additionally, David is the leader of KPMG Cayman Islands FATCA/CRS team and works closely with KPMG’s Global FATCA/CRS team on engagements for clients based in the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.  David was also part of an industry group working with the Cayman government on Economic Substance guidance and oversees the Economic Substance Advisory team for both Cayman and BVI.
