Tanis is a Partner in KPMG’s asset management practice, based in the Cayman Islands. She has more than 20 years of experience providing audit and assurance services.

Tanis started her career with KPMG in Canada in 1998 and launched her financial services experience in 2002 when she transferred to the Cayman Islands. Thereafter she furthered her career in financial services in London, the British Virgin Islands and ultimately returning to the Cayman Islands in 2015.

She has worked with various onshore and offshore private investment funds including hedge, digital assets, energy (FTRs) and venture capital.

Tanis also works with public clients such as European listed SPACs and clients regulated by the SEC that require an audit performed under PCAOB auditing standards such as introducing broker dealers.

She has experience dealing with audit and accounting issues related to private investment funds with a wide variety of strategies and financial instruments.

Tanis has in-depth technical knowledge of offering and other legal documents, IFRS and US GAAP reporting frameworks, as well as ISA, US GAAS and PCAOB auditing standards.
